Good Folks VNA are putting on their first curated group exhibition this wednesday night at Lacoste L!VE Flagship Store. Its a stella line up of artists from the world of graffiti, street art and illustration and should be a jolly fun evening. To coincide with the exhibition VNA also put together a zine featuring work by all the artists involved and that will be FREE and available throught the whole of the exhibition. There will also be a competition to win an Eelus print, so it will be worth checking out for sure. So get along on the 1st of December for drinks, music and art at 13 Newburgh Street W1F 7RS. Save yourself for the next night though for the Wooden Toy Launchapalooza!

Eric Bonhomme is an illustrator/designer based in the US and i'm sure loving his work. I've only just been introduced to this multi-talented artist and i've already spent the whole morning going through his portfolio, blog and associated links from his website. This is one illustrator that likes to keep busy! And it shows. His finished works are AMAZING all set in a beautiful vintage & textured styleee that we here at Wooden Toy just can't get enough of. But it's his sketches, mostly his 'warm up' pieces i'm loving the most. I love to see a 'behind the scenes' look into the artists world and the build up to a finished piece. Nice one Eric, thanks for sharing the love. www.elgatonegro.ca

I've blogged him before but dammit i'll blog about him again and again. How the heck does he do it? Keep getting better and better i mean? Who am i talking about? Well, AJ Fosik of course. For a lover of all things wood this is like looking around the studio of the guy that made the holy grail. Just look at that detail wood you? I'm sure there are forests of trees just wanting to give up their lives to become one of AJ's remarkable pieces of art. Sure beats being turned into a boardroom table or even worse, a campfire! One day i want to own one of these... ha... one day! Christmas is coming up folks, if any of you are thinking of what to get Timba for a present then look no further. (wink wink) Check out his flickr photostream >> here <<

Some pretty exciting news this morning peeple!!! The Wooden Toy x Colab custom sunglasses i've been working on and hanging out for the better part of a year are finally back from production and holy shit... It's the GOOD WOOD!!! These things are soooo high quality that 'quality' is an old dirty word. Obviously i'm being biased here but i'm putting it out there that these are the BEST Colab frames i've ever seen. And Colab's are the ducks nuts! Featuring a swagger of amazing details, the Wooden Toy's come in a Dark chocolate acetate frame, Custom Teak finished inner temples with Wooden Toy details, CR39 UV lens in gradient brown, Colab signature laser dots etched onto lens, Limited Edition to only 1000 individually numbered pieces worldwide and are Optical Capable! Holy crap!!! I'm going to stare into my computer screen for 7 days straight without blinking, wrecking my eyesight just so i can wear an optical pair of these aswell. Oh, and Ladeez, simply put... i wood not recommend letting your fella walk out of the house alone wearing a pair of these. These are powerful enough to even cause a girl get a wood! Now, go get a pair and be the coolest looking cat this side of summer. It's a shame i'm over here and it's winter and dark by 4pm. But fuck it, i'm gunna wear them anyway! Availabe for the GOOD WOOD price of $265aud or $229us from www.colab.com.au plus more photos here >> check it <<
