And speaking of new websites. Our very own Timba has baked up a brand new one. Ch Ch Ch Check it out! www.timbasmits.com Fresh outta the oven folks, and still steaming! And like Stevie Wonder once sang... "Isn't she lovely, Isn't she wonderfull, Isn't she precious, Less than one minute old." It's taken a while because the man has been so busy but it's finally happened. Some NEW features include a bunch of new work from the pages of Wooden Toy and his freelance projects to facebook and twitter intergration. All topped off with a snazzy new design that is more in-tune with his kitsch style. Out with the old and with the... vintage!

Thomas Cantoni is a french artist/illustrator who has a super slick style that i'm really impressed by. Anything thats a little on the vintage/nostalgic side gets me (you know that) and Cantoni's work is nothing short of 1979 in your face retro! His website prtfolio features a mix of personal work and commercial projects for brands such as Kulte and Electric Visual which are well worth having a look at. I'm really the colours Cantoni uses throughout his work and he seems to be a whiz in illustrator as much as he is weilding a pencil and paper. A good combination: We likey! Make sure you check out the Aerostyle section on his website. more at www.thomascantoni.com

We first discovered Brisbane designer/artist/illustrator Steven Rhodes back in January when he was featured in a small blog right here back then. Since then Steven has done a whole bunch of new work and even got featured in the 2010 Semi-Permanent book by Design is Kinky. A great achievement for anyone that calls themselfves a fledgling illustrator and graphic designer. Always a creative person from the get-go Steven has a rather unique background when it comes to how he entered the design profession in an unusual way, working as a landscape architect. And after several years at doing this he yearned for more creative pastures so he booked himself into Timba's old study grounds at Shillington College graduating in 2009. Shillington is a great college for anyone wanting to study graphic design and it sure shows in Steven's work. keep it coming mate. More at www.stevenrhodes.com.au

It's a very happy Monday today! Why? We love it when people send us work, it brings a smile to our faces and we love it even more when the work sent in was made especially for us. Just like talented Melbourne Illustrator Kristy Milliken who drew this piece "Woodchop" especially for Wooden Toy a couple of weeks back since she wasn't too busy and has noticed we seem to have some kind of fixation on wood. Really? Well, we've never given away that impression at all… or have we? haha! Viva la wood! Thanks Kristy it's very kind of you and it's going srtraight up in the 'pool-room'!!! Check out more of Kristy's work on her website www.kristymilliken.com and make sure to check out her blog too!
