It's a very happy Monday today! Why? We love it when people send us work, it brings a smile to our faces and we love it even more when the work sent in was made especially for us. Just like talented Melbourne Illustrator Kristy Milliken who drew this piece "Woodchop" especially for Wooden Toy a couple of weeks back since she wasn't too busy and has noticed we seem to have some kind of fixation on wood. Really? Well, we've never given away that impression at all… or have we? haha! Viva la wood! Thanks Kristy it's very kind of you and it's going srtraight up in the 'pool-room'!!! Check out more of Kristy's work on her website www.kristymilliken.com and make sure to check out her blog too!

HOLY CRAP!!! This is the shit i've been waiting for. For ages now i've been wondering how long will it be until skate videos go all CG badass and become like epic movies. Well, the wait is finally over hopefully coz check this shit out will ya! Here are two RAD short films that we're totally digging at the moment. The first is a trailer for Shaun Whites Skateboarding game - Transformation by Ubisoft and it's 1080 degrees off it's head! Did i mention the soundtrack. It happens to be only one of my favourite songs of all time... "Down in Mexico" by The coasters! Then there's this sooper rad exploding dynamite job by Lakai with Sounds by Unkle. A killer combination one wood say! I'm excited about the future of skate vids if this is whats on the new menu!
Melbourne Street artist MISO has been in London for the past 2 weeks (after a brief spell in her birthplace of Ukraine) partly for the launch of Street/Studio (the book) at Black Rat Projects last Thursday night and to bless this fine city with her art. I've had the pleasure of hanging out with the lovely Miso for over a week and it's been great. And on her last night in London, after a tasty home cooked rissotto dinner by Timba she went out and put some new work up around the Shoreditch area. Below are some photos we took early this morning fresh from the mind and hand of this talented Melbournite! If you're not familiar with Miso's work you can find out all about her at www.cityofreubens.com
