There's really not a lot of information about artist/illustrator Sam Thomas i can give you today. All that i can tell you without having scoured the indents for hours searching for some tasty leads is he's from Sydney, Australia, currently works as an in-house illustrator for fashion label Allsaints Spitafields and has a style that is tougher than IPMAN and Sarah Connors baby (if they were to converse and have a child that is). Wooden Toys friends and allies in this Thunderdome world we live in Rone, Meggs (both of Everfresh Studios), and Ghostpatrol (Mitten Fortress) have pulled up there little cotton socks (though in this weather im guessing wool might be a better option) and gone and opened up a new gallery! al la Backwoods Gallery! Backwoods Gallery was founded to help Australia’s flourishing street and fine art movement gain international exposure and will feature artists who challenge the boundaries between ‘urban’ and ‘fine’ art through their innovative styles and ideas.

Well Lads and Ladetts! Its SHOWTIME! Thats right, fuck the Logie's, tonight's the night of night's for one night only! Roll out the carpet at the all new No Vacancy Project Space in Fed Square for the launch of the much secretive Street/Studio! And on a double bonus score, its a FDIDAY!!! Woop Woop! As you most likely (we hope) know, The Australian Minister for Communications Stephen Conroy is still, more so than ever, a total fuck tard and doing all that he can to convince our skeptical public that the mandatory internet filter is in everyones best interest. “‘This is a policy that will be going ahead,” said Conroy, A pollicy that has been publicly opposed by the likes of Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Electronic Frontiers Australia and even US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, that will make Australia the most heavily censored country in the western world. Nice job dickhead.

The filter quickly spiraled from a voluntary "opt in" filter to protect children from all that is evil on the internet, to a mandatory for all ISP to filter what the government believes to be inappropriate content, offensive and illegal material, legal pornography, gambling and even P2P traffic taking the internet in Australia to a "Chinese state". All this to protect children form pedophiles and the like through a proposed filter that will only filter unencrypted web (HTTP) traffic. ISP iiNet has been public in its opposition saying "The reality is pedophiles and criminals do not use public websites to distribute their illegal content and the planned Government filter is currently only proposed to block website addresses or ‘URLs’ – so it won’t prevent this kind of activity".

A recent opinion poll from Galaxy Research shows that 86% of respondents agree that parents should be the first line of defense to protect there children from harmful content on the internet not the government.

So if you believe in a free internet then be educated on it and be heard about it. Or burn down a building about it, either either.

TUESDAY 01 JUNE 2010 // A PINCH & A PUNCH FOR THE 1ST DAY OF THE MONTH

Kick and a flick for being so quick! Yeah! So get this... Originating from old England times when people thought that witches existed, People thought that salt would make a witch weak, so the pinch part is pinching of the salt, and the punch part was to banish the witch. The witch would be weak from the salt so the punch was to banish her. Ahhhh, thanks wikipedia! You never ceaze to surprise me with your knowledge! Now, there are many different ways you can use this phrase, in particular it should be said (and backed up with ya fist) before midday on the first day of every month (so turn left and punch whoever is next to you). I like to aim for just below the shoulder in a swift move to make dead ones arm. My housemate just got it good! oooh yeeah! Now for some other rules that you may be interested in are that a good left right combo wood be to add "and no returns" to the end of your punch, which should stop the person to attack you back with "a kick and a flick for being so quick" or "a flick in the eye for being so sly". But if ya wussy housemate drops the term "white rabbits" before you can finish ya darn sentence and leaving you mid swing then heck, he or she can punch you instead. What a game huh?
