Beach London is proud to present KILLER ABS WILL KILL YOU: the first London solo show by Australian artist Sean Morris. Doubling as a launch for his zine of the same name, KILLER ABS WILL KILL YOU features a collection of sweaty, super fit illustrations, which form perhaps the ultimate anti-workout guide. Part 'tribute' to the glory days of Mr. Universe and Jazzercise, part vision of a world where denim cutoffs are the ultimate workout attire and beer hats exist in harmony with fit balls... KAWKY takes you inside the swamp gym of your dreams, where Jane Fonda smokes cigarettes with her toes and real men lift barbells with their nipples. Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Sean Morris is an painter and illustrator who has been exposing Australian audiences to his brand of grotesque character work and explorations of trash culture for several years. Following a recent 3-way show at Bold Hype in New York City, KILLER ABS WILL KILL YOU is his debut international solo show. Get down to BEACH LONDON for the launch this Thursday August 18 and witness the fitness for yourself! Super limited edition A3 risograph prints, installation paintings, some dude who came all the way from Australia to drink beers with you, and of course the zine itself: 28 pages, riso printed, edition of 200. Comes with a free poster featuring Hulk Hogan, seven mean girls and some palm trees. Nice! Remember: Thursday August 18, beach London. 20 Cheshire Street, E2 6EH. Be there!

It's hard to write this post without peeing my pants in excitement. I mean just look at these artworks by illustrator Christian Northeast. Beautiful aren't they! Oops, there we go... i just peed myself! There's not a lot of info on his website about himself, in fact Northeast mentions in his info section "Still putting it together" so i'm just going to go with what i know... That his work is amazeballs!!! I think that's all i really need to say here. But i do know he's represented by DebutArt and has also worked for New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Esquire, GQ, Time, NY Times, Business Week, Forbes and loads more so he's a print man! We like him already! Check out more of his textured and tasty works at www.christiannortheast.com Make sure to have a good look at his XYZ blocks series... So good it hurts!
